Hello, my name is Lawrence.

I am a counselling psychologist in training with a passion for helping people overcome life’s challenges. My specialist training is in existential psychotherapy, which is a philosophical approach that places emphasis on the human condition as a whole and allows me to work with clients in an intimate and personal way. In our sessions, we’ll deepen your self-understanding, explore your choices and look at how you can find more freedom and meaning in your life.

For a long time, I have been fascinated by the relationship between the mind and body, as well as the pursuit of self-awareness and personal growth. This passion led me to explore Eastern philosophy, meditation, yoga and other spiritual practices, which was followed by my studying psychology and psychotherapy. Existential therapy combines my interests in philosophy, personal development, and mental and spiritual wellbeing and is an approach that is immensely beneficial for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including; depression, anxiety, eating disorders, neurodiversity, self-harm, suicidal ideation, abuse, PTSD, and panic attacks.

Currently, I am studying for a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. I hold a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Liverpool, where I was awarded the Dissertation of the Year in 2021. I have a Certificate in Counselling from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and a Bachelor of Science in Chinese Medicine from the Northern College of Acupuncture.

My approach to counselling is always warm, caring, open and non-judgmental. I create a safe and grounded space where you can explore yourself and deepen your self-awareness, understanding and authenticity – the development of which will help you lead a fulfilling and enjoyable life.
